Description
I decided that since I made the map for Astoria, I might as well do one for Ninjago. I tried to fit all of the locations into it, using the wiki for references. And I finally got a decent idea of where all the locations could go, since none of their locations are ever specifically pointed out.Related content

The threory is that Astor city is located on an island in Ninjago. Astor is basically the second New Ninjago City here.
You pretty much made this theory, I saw your name with a theory on this...
The reason that The Overlord got into Borg Tower is because Terrabyte uploaded him there (as shown in a canon comic).
There are a few similarities with the dark matter and the antimatter as well. Both prematurely bring out one's powers (like Nya, Tox, and Invizable).
And how Garmadon and Antimatter were both corrupted and turned evil (Great Devourer venom is somewhat linked to dark matter anyway), as well as Antimatter and The Overlord wanting to recreate the world in their image.
And there's the obvious Tox and Invizable in Ninjago City one. To participate in the TOE, they snuck out of Astor.

Oh, I see. Well, if you follow Bobbrick's and my Timeline, the Overlord and Antimatter are actually dark gods similar to the Darkitect from Lego Universe, and dark matter is the Maelstrom. The Overlord and Antimatter used the Maelstrom to corrupt the citizens of Ninjago City and Astor City, similar to how the darkitect uses it to turn people into Stromlings. And dark matter doesn't prematurely bring out one's powers, since around two and a half years passed between Nya being corrupted and her unlocking her element. Their powers just develop naturally, though if you read my theory on how the elemental powers work, you can get a better understanding of this:

The reason I think Astor City is not on Ninjago, is the fact that Ninjago is actually a pretty small island. It really only has three towns (Jamanakai, Ignacia, and Stiix), and one major city (New Ninjago City). If Astor City were a city in Ninjago, you'd think they'd have visited it by now. It makes more sense that it's on an entire continent entirely, where there's less chance of it appearing in the show. And all the stuff you said could still happen if it were on another continent, too. They have all means of travel, so Tox and Pale could still get to Ninjago (most likely during the six months after Solomon Blaze gets captured in the comic, since neither of them show up for the last chapter). And Terabyte could still upload the Overlord virus to Borg Tower from across the ocean.Β

But the thing is, every map of Ninjago shows JUST two continents, and it makes sense too. It would disrupt the balance this show so heavily emphasizes on.
I guess it could be an island off the main 2 continents, but I don't know about the whole 3rd continent thing.
Also, in the episode "The Titanium Ninja", the ninja plummet back to Ninjago, and a landmass can be seen. Does this look like the original island in any way?
Just wanted to show you that if you didn't know.

Every map except mine has shown only one continent, even in the show. The Dark Island only appeared in the Final Battle, and one episode in Rebooted when they go back to the Light Temple. I like to think that the majority of the dark island went back under the ocean when the Overlord was killed the first time, since no one after Rebooted seems to acknowledge it. Besides, the show kind of lost the whole "balance" thing long ago, maybe after the Final Battle. And the planet the Ninjago is on should be big enough to hold another continent on the other hemisphere.

Did you see the new poster for Ninjago?
twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/β¦
"Close the circle", with a yin and yang symbol of the moon at the top. To me, this represents Ninjago and the Dark Island.
To further back this up, a new book called; "Dark Island" is coming soon, and the description makes it sound like it may be canon, plus it includes bonus material from the show, implying that it may be canon.

Yeah, I saw it. Though if it does represent the dark island (which is still not confirmed), this would be the first time in four seasons that the dark island was mentioned. Which kind of shows my argument that they kind of dropped the whole "balance" thing in favor of having more Elemental powers. If they kept the dark island thing alive during every season after Rebooted, I could see how they were sill going with the balance thing. But yeah, the poster's cool.Β

I guess it must be fate then, or something. And I guess that Ninjago City is close enough to the desert that the biome it's Β in could be a dry grassland, like a savanna. And my idea is that Ninjago is actually a really small country, which is why it only really has three main cities. If you look at my map of Astoria, Ninjago would be about the size of Daegraland, one of the smaller countries. That should make it easier for people to drive around the entire island. I mean, they did go to a lot of places, and it would be weird for all of those places to be right next to each other.

Oh yeah, do you mean the one found in the Temple of Airjitsu instructions? Yeah, I found a picture of that and copied the shape of the map. The only three places they marked were the Temple of Airjitsu, the Wailing Alps, and Ninjago City, which kind of sucks, but at least it gave me the shape of the map.

Nope, nope, not that one--it was at the end of one of the graphic novels. I forget the title, but it was set during Season 4.
Anyway, at the end they had some trivia stuff, character bios and the like; they also had a map of just Ninjago, without the Dark Island. It had something like thirty or forty locations on it, but they were all crammed together weirdly in the "top half" of the dragon. The entire southern half of Ninjago was pretty much desolate. :/
