Description
I recently watched a show on horizon called my pet dinosaur. It was about if the comet that killed the majority of the dinosaur population, missed and that man evolved in a differnt way to our known ancestors by going in the trees.
It showed a modern world of people farming protoceratops for meat and eggs.
I then thought, if people had evolved with dinosaurs then all ancient people would have had to live with them also.
This exited me, on the possibilitys of how people could have used the different dinosaurs i different ways, also breeding them to suit perposes (war, beauty, transport).
I love James Gurneys Dinotopia but it is limited because they live in a collective multi-cultured utopian society, so war and armies are unheard of.
So this allows me to make war dinosaurs aswell as having the same idilic pictures as Gurneys world.
Edit: Thanks too a tip from a fellow DA Im changing this too a Charonosaurus, a dinosaur similar to Parasaurolophus but lived in asia, worked better than the other idea.
I want to draw an Emperer Charonosaurus bred for the emporer himself and his faithful gaisias.
Here is an ancient japanese soldier (based on real japanese soldiers and clothing) with his mount, a base Charonosaurus, bred for speed and strength.
I'm hopefully going to do more of this series so look out.
hope you like it!

This is cool. Unfortunately, if that comet hadn't hit we probably wouldn't be here. ^^

true but there are other theorised ways of how we could have survived and evolved, like the idea that no dinosaurs took advantage of the tree tops, so if primates took over that niche, then eventually came down from the trees, we still could have evolved along side them, youtube horizon, my pet dinosaur

Well, if you're really considering that possibility, we probably wouldn't be "exactly" the same species. ^_^
But that is interesting.

Well, you get into probablility . . . and it really becomes more of fantasy . . . but I mean, alternate history . . . idk . . .

its a confusing subject, but its nice to think maybe in an alternate world people do live with dinosaurs

Maybe . . . I don't relish the idea of T-rex . . . or raptors for that matter because by then they might be as smart as we are.
Of course maybe we'd just kill 'em off like we do with wolves and other "predatory pests."

Weren't we supposed to originate in Africa? That would be an odd change of events.

Well, that's good. We drove off nearly all of our wolves, mountain lions, and bears because they were a danger to people & livestock. Now we have overpopulation of deer to deal with. ^^ I guess you don't have many populations of large herbivorous animals? (Since there is nothing there to eat them)
In Africa, they have lions, jaguars, elephants, rhinos, and crocodiles (okay, so we have alligators but they're nowhere near as huge). I guess if early man could have survived all that, they would have figured out a way to get around T-Rex. Especially because they're so dumb. (But raptors were not!!!!)
Although, there are still people who get routinely eaten by tigers in India.

You know I love your work especially this one because it has one of my favorite dinosaurs, Parasaurolophus, but there is one major problem.....they only lived in North America, from Alberta, Canada to New Mexico, and Utah. Damn Them!
