Description
Pinsir are dangerous bug pokemon.They have a huge crush weight of up to 1 tonne with the large Pincers that they hold proudly at the top of their shell.
They are used for cutting through tree trunks to get to the thick sap inside. Their shells are very strong and have even been used as shields by ancient humans.
They are now rare because they were hunted by insect collectors for their collections. killing and mounting them on their walls. they were a popular hunt as they were so dangerous, thrill seeking hunters would love to hunt down a large male Pinsir.
They are now protected and are only legal to catch to battle in certain areas.
When they were not rare, large groups of the Insect could near wipe out a small forest in a few weeks, and population control was difficult. Tree farmers and forest wardens would be happy for hunters to come in and 'exterminate' the problem.
Pinsir are better trained from a young age as older Pinsir vary rarely listen to their trainers. they are recommended as a pokemon but only to experienced trainers.

Is it really that big a problem for you? They're just very small animals with armor plating, like little organic robots. I can't think of anything more gorgeous and precious in nature, and less than one in a thousand species are even capable of bothering you, you know.

it would've been cool if you added in a hidden pair of legs for the whole "insect" "realism" thing you do with some of your pokemon

Well the rare ones are, same reason why nearly 50% of the greater animals on this planet are near to extinction due to human interference and demolition of their homes, it is the same for the pokemon world. I didn't want to add any legs as i just felt it was a insect that had shed its extras arms due to years of evolution etc, same with many other insect pokemon.

only four, yes insect technically means and animal with more than four legs, but i didn't want to confuse people, it is simply an insect that has shed its extra limbs as it basically doesn't need them, same for many other insect or 'bug' pokemon
