Description Pinsir are dangerous bug pokemon.

They have a huge crush weight of up to 1 tonne with the large Pincers that they hold proudly at the top of their shell.
They are used for cutting through tree trunks to get to the thick sap inside. Their shells are very strong and have even been used as shields by ancient humans.

They are now rare because they were hunted by insect collectors for their collections. killing and mounting them on their walls. they were a popular hunt as they were so dangerous, thrill seeking hunters would love to hunt down a large male Pinsir.
They are now protected and are only legal to catch to battle in certain areas.

When they were not rare, large groups of the Insect could near wipe out a small forest in a few weeks, and population control was difficult. Tree farmers and forest wardens would be happy for hunters to come in and 'exterminate' the problem.

Pinsir are better trained from a young age as older Pinsir vary rarely listen to their trainers. they are recommended as a pokemon but only to experienced trainers.

Hope you like it
(i like the design but i'm not sure about the actual picture... oh well )

Personally, I love bugs and bug-type Pokemon, but this is... well... O_O I see somewhat of a resemblance to the monstrous insect creatures from an anime called Terra Formars, despite those being cockroaches.

I do not get how a beetle can be that big and live. Its gooey internal organic structure could not handle the weight of that shell. Like lapras, this is just me not believeing the poemon, not your interpretation.

*is picturing a mounted pinsir hunting trophy* Man, those mounted butterflies and jewel beetles have nothing on that.

JoshuaDunlop In reply to Octoboy-the-8th [2009-05-22 22:47:07 +0000 UTC]

their shell is a sealed, hardened infrostructure rather that a coating, similar to a tortoise.

Octoboy-the-8th In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2009-05-23 01:35:51 +0000 UTC]

Ahhh, tortoise.

But still, tortoises at least have bones...

JoshuaDunlop In reply to Octoboy-the-8th [2009-05-23 07:58:15 +0000 UTC]

yer but what im saying is larger insects outer skeleton have become hard as/even harder than bone

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Octoboy-the-8th In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2009-05-24 00:35:16 +0000 UTC]

I was making the point that a tortoise can stand to have a shell because it's supported from the inside by the tortoise's internal skeletal structure. A beetle wouldn't have an internal skeletal strucutre, so its shell would probably swish him.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoshuaDunlop In reply to Octoboy-the-8th [2009-05-24 08:05:02 +0000 UTC]

Well larger insects would adapt to larger shells, if that were true then they couldnt exist at all. Their internal and external structures would change symilar to a tortoise to survive

Wait a minute, are you saying this is an invertebrate with bones?!?

Pokemon is a strange and crazy world.

you did a damn good job on it, too. The black cornea's with the golden iris' shining is scary enough, but the lighting and proportions give your Pinsir a pants wetting aura.

Personally, I think you'll have fun with my old favorite Porygon.
