Description
This info is ripped off 'Autumn Family'. Here the venusaur have gathered for a Pollunation of the plants. they do this just before they mate so the seed will be ready in time for the baby bulbasaurs. female in forground and male in backgroundVenusaur mothers are very protective of their young and will protect them for up to five years after their born. After the five years they seperate that bond allowing the calf to start their own life.
Venasaurs will live in a large group of up to 16 feamles and one bull male. They protect their young ferociously and will even protect others calfs if needed.
They live in a matriorical society, meaning they are run by an alpha female or matriarch, in this case Eva is the Matriarch as she is the eldest female.
At a certain age the males will leave to find their own groups and sometimes will wonder all their life looking for a family. females will have a bull male for up to 12 years and then they will decide to have a new one and push them out. this stops inbreeding.
When the females are pregnant and are about to give birth they will travel off on their own and lay up to three large eggs.
The gestation period for the eggs are only a few days while their mother watches over them and when they hatch their mother will implant a seed from her flower into their backs.
She will then take them back to the herd once the bulb has begun to grow.
Their species has evolved to live along side the plant and if this process is not done they die in a matter of days as their amune systems are not strong enough on their own.
Hope you like it

Again, amazing work on the starters. Great drawings as well. The butterfree kind of pale in comparison to the venusaur. Are your portrayal of butterfree three-foot monstrosities like in the original?
The bull sure looks gnarled. Has he been battered around a little, or is he just old?

they are pale cos they are further back, and caught in a pollen storm from the venusaur. what do you mean by three foot monstrosities?

I meant that the butterfree weren't as impressive because they were less realistic than the venusaur.
By three foot monstrosities, I was thinking that you don't seem to like how small some pokemon are, but the insects are HUGE. I wanted to know if you shrunk them too.

Well they vary in size, butterfree can grow quite large, about the size of an eagle

I like the slight differences between the male and female that isn't a big spike on the female's flower.
I like the Butterfree.

venasaur are pretty cool. i never can train them to their full potential though. my friend john loves venasaur and he can always get it to be the best of the best. btw i have a question. do you think venasaur are tropical, deciduous, or...um...dang that last type of forest with all the pine trees and stuff. you know the ones that are usually colder. i would think tropical because of they way they look and the fact they need lots of sunlight.

Well years ago before they went endangered they span from tropical (one of the last remaining species of Venusaur) down to colder regions. The colder region venusaur tended to be darker and the bulbasaur had a slighty spiral bulb.

I very much like the hybridization between the original and your old Evo design, it works quite well, IMO. The Butterfree are a nice touch as well.
