Description
Ten years ago there was a discovery of alien DNA on a comet that crashed into the desert. A program was set up by the govenment to recover, hide and turn the DNA into a biological weapon. It was found to contain the ability to absorb matter around it and transforming it into powerful armour. The program was called the R.E.G.I program, meaning Robotically enhanched genetic intelligence.At first it was one strand of DNA but when scientist looked closer they found that they could splice the DNA into three, concentrating on the strongest elements, Steel, Rock and Ice.
The scientists created living weapons, golieths that would destroy their enemies.
The first was based on steel, but was found to be far more productive than first imagined, as the DNA turned the steel into a flexible metal alloy that was stronger than anything found on earth. It was named Registeel.
Two more golieths were made based on Ice and rock. Agian the DNA turned the substances into the strongest they could be. Rock with the ability to regrow, and Ice as strong as diamond.
They were deemed the perfect weapons... but the program was decomisioned at the end of the great war.
They became a myth, legendary beings that to many may or may not have ever existed.
Now they sit in giant underground bunkers, sleeping, waiting to be awakened...

Around 100 years before the pokemon world you see today, there was a world war, originally led by a country in the far west whos thirst for power using pokemon was unquenchable. The war took hold and lasted 30 years, tearing the world apart. Eventually the country was defeated and peace was restored, however their country was in ruins from the war and slowly it became a wasteland. The last survivors of the countries leaders left and found refuge in Kanto, the Giovanni family. Eventually they built a large company funding a secret organization, named 'Rocket' to remember the first rockets launched in the war, plus it symbolized 'reaching for bigger and better things'.

Favorite Regi, great story behind it. Makes a lot more sense for the obviously-robotic pokemon to be actual robots rather than some confusing explanation of them being totally organic. Also secret underground bunkers > caves.

REGISTEEL looks like something that an ancient intergalatic civilisation would build, mostly likely as intellgient war drones.

Wow, steel that's stronger than steel. Sounds frightening. The image here is a little less impressive than some, especially after seeing that wonderfully detailed charizard in the previous picture. But I suppose the story is 'epic' enough to satisfy any reader.

I always thought they had something to do with the Ages. You know like, Regirock being the Stone Age, Regice being the Ice Age, Registeel being the Industrialized Age, and Regigigas being Prehistoric times O_o but still cool story none the less. Alien, huh? Any relation to Deoxys maybe?

hahaha yer i know no worries, they just seemed to be more stone goliaths, living statues more than pokemon, almost mystical, but then used for an evil purpose, so i made them huge

I like this picture, but on thing nags me about it the Regi's are like triple the size they should be, not a problem though they look really cool. I guess it could be a side effect of the DNA over time they shrunk in Size

Thanks, yer i know there huge but i wanted them to be more like goliaths or golems. Huge living weapons. Maybe they make smaller ones but in my evo style im changing all the sizes etc to make them more realistic or just plain cool

well i see the arms as being like a metalic fabric that can grow etc, hench why i drew them like that

I find this whole picture very aesthetically appealing... particular the shapes and colours. Maybe... there's a bit surreal feel to it as well?
