Hitmonchan are powerful fighting pokemon.They are powerful because they have been bred that way.
Hundreds of years of selective breeding has given you what you see today, and because of this you will never truly see a wild hitmonchan.
They have been trained mainly in hand to hand combat and specialise in a form of fighting symilar to boxing or kick boxing.
They wear a traditional uniform that must be worn at all times when fighting. If they are seen without the costume it is seen as a sign of disrespect and can mean banishment.
Hitmonchan has such powerful punches they can plow their way through bone and even rock. They are very controlling of their emotions but soul purpose is to fight and this can lead to stress if not battled often.

ahh hitmonchan. to this day i cant remeber who i chose in blue version as a kid but i think it possibly was hitmonchan. although now i like all 3 of the hitmon species equally. btw when you say banishment because of not wearing its uniform, do you mean that humans will banish it or other hitmonchans?

i personally hate hitmontop cuz in the game every time i fought it and i mean EVERY time it would use detect as soon as it got out and the way it looks is irritating, i only like lee and tyrogue

yeah it does use detect a lot. i kinda like it because it reminds me of someone breakdancing and fighting at the same time.

He is based on a fighting art whick name's escape me. It starts with a c, as I can remember.

no i love the later gens, just i prefer to work in order, plus pokemon source only want the first 151, so, once they are done and out the way i can get on with the second gen
