Description
Ended up being preoccupied with Berseria, so this is taking longer to complete than I anticipated. However, I managed to get some good progress in. Background is pretty much set so there shouldn't be whole lot more to do. This was drawn at a friend's request, although I changed it from being a romantic scene.As a side note, I don't consider myself a shipper, but I respect all ships and feel there is no need for all the negativity.

This pretty much defines why this ship works now. Β Both of them lost Pyrrha that day. Β Jaune lost his partner and (it took her sacrifice to realize it) his first love. Β Ruby lost a good friend and, in a way, role model. Β Both are still hurting from Pyrrha's demise, yet we're all surprised by the fact that it hasn't driven a wedge between Ruby and Jaune. Β If anything, it's driven them closer because both are supporting each other throughout Volume 4.

I must say that I personally feel the foundation is being laid out for such a development to occur. Whether it actually starts to go in that direction, however, remains to be seen. I've come across various reasons as to why people oppose Lancaster, but none of them has convinced me that it's not good for the story, if it were to happen. Reasons like "it's too clichΓ©" are not good enough for me to accept.

True, we don't know if Monty ever intended for Ruby and Jaune to become a couple, but the ship CAN work. Β We just have to wait to see where the story goes from here.

WhiteRose is definitely not dead. I feel it may have weakened due to the lack of meaningful interaction between Ruby and Weiss as of late (from vol 3 onwards), but who knows what will happen once the two reunite. It could genuinely start sailing from there for all we know.
