Ok, finally done. I had fun designing Xolette. She is an interesting character for me.Total Time: 20 hours

Now this is something I absolutely adore. A detailed character in front of a beautiful backdrop. I can even see the individual strains of hair when I zoom in. There's so much sharp detail in the character and around her while things around the edges get misty and blurry. That's the stuff I need!

You were always good with characters and lighting but it seems to me that you've really improved your sceneries and landscapes. I'm looking forward to more of those. I do prefer if there are tiny details which I can see after I zoom in. Your pictures are not really like that. Your sceneries seem to be a bit more vague, composed of grainy textures. That's not bad at all, it's just not my favourite kind of picture. When I view the picture as a whole, it's a beautiful image, that's true. But if I zoom in, I can see it's made of stains and grains of colour rather than seeing some tiny house on the huge mountain or a small star in the boundless night sky.

Thanks for your comment, I only use the brush to draw the textures as the illustrations which kinda fail....... Thanks for giving me advice and the details. I am sure that's the detail that the drawing lacks.

Your older pictures have an excellent amount of detail. You've always been great with lighting and atmosphere but there also was a lot of life in the background ... or death. Like this:
The detailed grass, the trees and the branches cowered in leaves on the right and all the death, the swords stuck in ground, the lightning in the distance, even the cloud formations. There's a lot of things going around, that's why I love this picture in particular.
Than again, it's my preference. Some people focus purely on character and the background is just moody colours to contrast well with the detailed person you have drawn and to set up a light source. None of this is really necessarily a bad thing. But personally, I always like to take in the details in the background.
