Description Here's Clover in all his glory! He is such an awesome monster. I love his design and how unique it is. But he doesn't seem like an creature that lives in the depths of the ocean, he seems more like an alien if you ask me.

I do not think he swims but rather walks on the bottom of the sea.Very well done.A very fearsome creature and its theorized he is actualy a juvenile O.O

In the movie, at the end when it skips to Rob and Beth at the carnival thing, the camera is pointed at the ocean, and if you look closely at the right side of the screen, you can see something come down from the sky and land way out in the water...Good pic though...Just finished watching it

oooooo
so the monster is clover
and thats where cloverfield comes from.
did you guess this or do you know for sure, cause some people are very critical about facts.....

anyway, good work

Well the monster has no official name, but most people just call him Clover for a nickname.

I was under the assumption that a sattelite[controlled by TAGRUATO] fell into the ocean. TAGURATO teamed up with Slusho because the sattelite fell where the main ingrediant for Slusho is found[at the bottom of the ocean]. While scavenging for Slusho ingrediants and the TAGRUATO sattelite, our monster here was awakened from a long slumber at the bottom of the ocean.

But, enough about that. Great art here Jougeroth! Nice colors too. Its not the usual white background you use. Would you mind if I use it as a reference for some of my Cloverfield art?

I thought Abram already admitted that it was a satellite that fell from space and woke Cloverfield up in the ocean! Darn it, I'm confused! Still though, awesome movie and most awesome original monster I've ever seen rather than the same old stuff!

Fantastic drawing! To me, since JJ Abrams admitted that the monster was a baby, this would probably be close enough to what it would look like as an adult!

if you watch the movie, when there at coney island, you can see in the distance "something" falling from high in the sky right into the ocean.

im pretty sure that means that clover is an alien who landed in near coney island a month before the events...

thats probably why he looks so alien ^^

Well, most deep sea animals look alien so his design fits for a deep sea kaiju.

Yeah but he still needs some fins cuz I don't see him being able to swim all that well.

Well, Godzilla can swim good, and he doesn't have fins.
