Tom Riddle, again. ^^While I was in the middle of coloring my last Tom Riddle sketch [link] I got an urge to do a black/white picture picture of him. I think Tom lends himself quite nicely to being black and white. Anyway, this was sketched and finished in about 2-3 hours last night. I have a fascination with portraying Tom the way he's described by Rowling--contemptuous, cold, and handsome. XD
If you don't know what a horcrux is, don't ask. Read Book 6.

How'd you like Book 6, by the way? I thought it was actually kind of... predictable, I guess. But I need to reread it now.
Anyway, back to the deviation... I like his eyes. They definitely have a sort of cool and aloof look. Well done!

I really enjoyed book 6. I liked it better than 5, actually.... 5 seemed to have a lot of "filler" material. 6 had "filler" too, I guess, but the filler was about Tom Riddle so it was rather enjoyable. ^_^ I agree some parts of the ending were predictable and the "surprise" wasn't as deep as in some of the other books, but I thought it was well-done and a good segway into the last book. >D

True... it felt more like the first half of the next book. But I guess I should re-read it and get some more things out of it... Tom Riddle's such an intriguing character as well.

Very nice. If you ever want to make any improvements on it (not that it needs any truly), you could make the diary black with white (silver) lettering

That is one of the best Tom Riddle portraits I've seen. It's fabulous. I love his expression and the mood of the piece, it's just like I imagined him to be like.

I actually sketched it all in Painter. No Flash this time... I like flash for sketching, but the brush isn't as easy/responsive to make smoothly. The line option is much smoother, but then there's no pressure sensitivity... =O

Without the red, he'd just be young pre-Horcrux, pre-Voldemort Tom, and while he'd certainly still be cute, he wouldn't be nearly so wickedly appealing. >D
