Description
So it's been...um... a year since A Digital Coloring Tutorial 1 [link] came, and I have finally resolved to finish the thing this summer! Hence, I present to you Part 2: Clothing and Lace. This was done entirely in Photoshop, with a wacom tablet to help. I decided to change the tutorial format from text doc (what the last tutorial was in) to image, since I find that it's easier to read and follow along. Click to read--although be warned--the whole file is about 1 MB.This tutorial references things I've talked about in Part 1 so read that first if you haven't.
8/10/05 Edit: Part three now available (how to color hair): [link]
I hope this helps some of you!

This is a lovely tutorial. However, I have a question: how did you mange to color the character without going over and erasing the line art? I know it has something to do with the layers function, but I can't figure it out. I am sure you mention this at part I, however the download isn't working. Thanks in edvance!

off-model ones (like my own graphire4, which RULES), are anywhere from $199-$399. It depends on what size you decide to buy.

This will definately come in handy for me. I usually draw lace designs by hand but I never get very detailed since the scanner is poor at picking up small details. But seeing the lace done on the comp itself is something that I never thought of. I'll use what I learned here on my works. It'll take me longer since I use a mouse, but it'll all be worth it.
