I know a LOT of you ponies have been waiting for this card too be done and so i went out of my way to make this one something special for a still excellent episode

Early ideas and concepts’ consisted of doing an epic illustration of the CMC looking towards the sky with a big fancy golden title above them but i wanted something much more related to the title which is chronicling the history of how the mane 6 became the ponies we know and love.

Running with that in mind i did my visual research in to old medieval books and writing styles and it all followed from there I also took inspiration from the opening scene of season one with the book illustrations.

I used a number of different artist brushes and textures to create this faded painted look similar to how i painted my Princess Twilight Sparkle title card, which was mimicking stained glass.

This card was a lot of fun to design and make I wish in hind sight I had gotten a recording of it I process but it would have been over 8 hours long even edited down. Maybe the next card I do.

As I am feeling in the mood for doing more cards I will tell you now that The Best Night Ever is going to be done soon but this time I am doing two finished designs one that’s every much the fairy tale magic the girls wanted. the second is a spoof on the reality of what happens at the end. LOL

So there you go season ones title cards will all be done this month then I can move on to the other seasons. WOOHOO

This year if i ever get time i plan to start making more title cards based on fan creations including Friendship is Witchcraft and nonpony related shows.
