I hadn't drawn anything so detailed as this in a long, long time!! It was a lot of fun to work on this, though coloring Jack's face was very uncomfortable with that expression staring back. XD As for Kairy, I wanted her emotion to be expressed through body language, so I paid special attention to her hands.I won't post the full thing cause it's somewhat spoiler-ish. Though I'm dying for some feedback on it... OTL

Hey Joyfool, I see you draw the arms with great anatomy details. How did you learn anatomy so well? I read like 2 anatomy books and a bunch of youtube videos and I only know the main muscles. T_T

AH i've been there, where you're drawing a character whos always SO HAPPY N FUN all sad or desperate and its like omg no.............who did this to you?!
and of course the answer is YOU and its like don't mind me im just crying over my own characters uuhhhh

Ah bro. I feel sad just looking at the two of them. Someone said below that the colors give them more depth and I really have to agree. I've gotten so used to seeing them happy and vibrant that it just breaks my heart to see such expressions. It really allows for more character depth without words.

The body language of the girl (that is a girl, right? Dunno the characters) is very good.
Very impessed with her hands indeed. I'm always happy if I can just draw a hand, but you went miles ahead and put tension and grief in them. Epic work.

Im reaaaaally digging the colors you used, it definitely gives both characters more depth! So wow really good job on the expressions/atmosphere!

I can really feel the emotion coming through in both sides! I really like the shading in Kairy's hands, it has just the right balance of realism and cartoonishness, I think.
