I did it.
I MADE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS GOOD. OMG OMG OMG.

I was in a HTTYD mood (by mood I mean that I was taking up 5 pages of my sketchbook doodling toothless) and I decided to do something digitally. Instead, I scanned in a really rough sketch that I did in my sketchbook and...spent like 6 straight hours on this. *Flops DIES*
AND IT CAME OUT AMAZING OMG OMG OMG.
And yes, I love this movie to DEATH. I have seen it too many times to count and I named this after the most beautiful song in the sound track, forbidden friendship. <3

This is really good. I mean it; I've only recently been working on the digital world as far as art is considered, so I can tell that this took a lot of time. What program did you use?
I love How to Train Your Dragon as well. As a movie, it's probably safe to say that it was inspired by the original book series rather than is a movie interpretation. One of my more favorite Dreamworks flicks, really. I was thinking on doing a story trilogy in the future inspired by the flick...though whether I actually manage to do anything like that or not really depends on the future...
Anyway, great pic of Toothless and Hiccup. If you managed to do one of one of the dragons in the movie (or one of the ones featured in the Dragon Manual but not actually seen, like the Timberjack or the Boneknapper) I'd probably die. I love dragons, dinosaurs, and anything else that is saurian or reptilian in appearance. DRAGONS FTW!!! lol.

I used Paint Tool SAI, and this took a total of about 3 hours. It felt like so much longer! However, I recorded myself with Hypercam as I drew, so I know how long it took. I'll post the speedpaint of it on youtube soon, as soon as I can get a program that can speed up video...Windows Live Movie Maker is fail in this regard...
Indeed, I love it all the more because it isn't a rip-off of the books, nor does it take anything away from the books. It just adds on, and I have been trying to get my hands on the book series for a while, but its so hard to find where I live. XD I know I'll love the books just as much as I loved the movie!

Since I'm too far away from any Barnes and Noble, I just order books online unless one in particular catches my fancy. You'll find that the books are a lot different than the movie, mostly because the first book takes place when Hiccup's a lot younger. I'd tell you more, but I'm not one for giving out spoilers...lol.

I've gathered that the books and movie are different from what I've seen and what others have told me, but I'm sure the books are good anyway. And I WOULD order online if I had a Paypal or something, but my parents wont let me get one. >.>;

I love my grandma to death! unlike my parents, she accepts that I'm way into anime and encourages me in whatever I like to do. She gives me great advice and wisdom all the time, is always there to support me...plus, for a grandma, she's really pretty. XD

Although, truth is, my grandma has pancreatic cancer now...she's doing somewhat okay, but she's been in a lot of pain for a while and she's lost a lot of wait and the kind of cancer she has pretty much means that she's gonna die in a few years, probably less.
