Thank you everyone for the DD!Gazelf. Hybrid of a gazelle and an elf. Clay maquette sculpture, about 16" high.
Her story is that she is in the forest with a larger creature. They are a pair, a team, tracking someone or something. I wasn't sure, but he would have been anthropomorphic as well. He is not all he seems, however, and as she's bending down to either drink from a pool, or check tracking marks for their quarry they are following, he is pulling out his weapon to make a quick end to her life, as he has turned or become corrupt, and planned this sinister act from the beginning of the trap. She is just now sensing the danger from her companion and is rising to react.

Wonderful, I love how the line of her forehead and eyebrows morphs into the curve of the horn. Perfect blend of the human (or elf) lips and chip and the gazelle nose.
There seems to bit of a lump in the left horn though? Did the frame (assuming that it isn't one solid piece of clay) bend while baking/drying?

No, that lump is actually part of the design. The horns have different planes and shifting lines that change the profile compared to the front view.

I will be molding it and casting it this year, I think. I'm thinking of making it ebony and ivory, with the eyes and horns being one color, and the rest another. I'm just not sure of which will be which. It's quite a process, as I'll have to mold the eyes and horns separately.

That sounds like an absolute killerpiece. Does molding/casting mean you can ('mass-')produce it?

I also sculpt in wood, wood that you used? What brand of chisels you use? I use gouges Tsubay.

This is actually an oil based clay called Y2Klay from Chavant. I use mainly rakes for my tools, and they're custom made.

great! I had made ββa high-relief plaster them with the colors I gave the fake bronze effect ^ ^
I can just load the photos of my sculptures in wood that are all-accomplished (3D dimension).
