To those of you who've picked up my Ronins of the Mushroom Kingdom print ( jpzilla.deviantart.com/art/Ron… ) and have encouraged me to flesh out my story, I'm very happy to say that the project is moving forward! This is all thanks to the many people who've expressed their excitement and support. After a lot of hard work and chasing dreams, it's finally happening! It will be made into a 12 issue comic book series, essentially becoming a graphic novel.

This story and its characters have been in development since the original art was conceptualized in 2011. I'm happy to say that, with the help of a very passionate and imaginative writer, the novel's story is complete. What's left is the art. We are planning to release the first Act, which is the first three issues, around Spring of 2015.

A little background on Ronins of the Mushroom Kingdom: The piece has been shared throughout the gaming, comic, and digital art community and has received acclaim and awards, including a Daily Deviation on deviantart. The piece has also been very popular at conventions and other shows, bringing lots of questions about the story and its future.

Even though the initial art was inspired by the Super Mario Bros. franchise, I believe that we've come up with a very unique and entertaining story that is an entity of its own. While giving nods to the popular franchise's universe, the story, characters, and tone are unlike anything comparable and will be enjoyable to fans of adventure and fantasy.
