Description This download contains more than 70 wallpapers (some of them variants, 96 files in total) and all the source files used to create them (32 px tall strips cut from the original screenshots). Nearly all of them are 1920×1080 px but a handful also have larger versions in cases where I had enough unique material to work with. All files are in PNG format.

These patterns were created by GTKRadiant (open-source version of the Quake III map editor, also used for my beloved Urban Terror ): on every startup it would briefly fill its four panes with varying levels of colorful garbage. Sometimes the colors would match a website I had open or a game I had just closed, but more often than not they seemed completely random. You notice the past tense here — unfortunately, ever since I reinstalled the OS along with slightly older graphics drivers, the garbage being displayed has become significantly less interesting. The source screenshots span a period of about three years, from July 2013 to August 2016.

The torn paper edges used in the preview image come from disdainful-soul .
