Description "DMTea Time"
11x14" Oil on Canvas

This one's about ayahuasca, a shamanic brew containing a psychoactive known as Dimethyltryptamine (or DMT). This chemical is produced in most living things, including the human brain. Its effects seem to physically place the travelers soul into another dimension, raising questions about reality and perception. Some scientist even theorize that this chemical could be the "spirit molecule" (check out Dr. Straussman's "DMT- The Spirit Molecule" book or documentary).

Man, I wanna try out ayahuasca. I smoked a bit of DMT once, it was intense. Did my best to replicate the experience on canvas with paint markers.

Came naturally. I started with acrylics... struggled with them for a year... switched to oil.... never looked back.
