I cannot describe to you in words how amazing this is. I cannot describe to you how it makes me feel. I find this happens a lot with art. I just cant explain these feelings I have whenever I see a beautiful work of someones mind, a literal representative reflection, an interpretation of their mind. This is amazing,a nd the rest of your work is absolutely extraordinary.

Wow, I just don't know how you do it. I have to say, I feel so much from seeing this. It is both appealing to the eyes and to the soul.

You're welcome
Hey! I was wondering what kind of printer/scanner you use? I really want to set up my own studio soon. Affording it will take a little while I'm guessing.

I use a Canon DSLR to capture my images. Side lighting with the same brand/model of light bulb in a dark room is key (eliminates glare). Then after some minor adjustments in Photoshop, I am able to reproduce. I've used an entry level professional Epson (2880) for my paper prints during the past 2 years, however I recently invested in a 44" wide format Canon IPF8400 for everything (including canvas).

Awesome good to know. The Epson is definitely more in my price range. Haha
That Canon looks like an amazing printer.

End of the year with tax savings, 2 rebates, and free ink... the Canon was pretty much $1000. Plus they tossed in a free iPad Mini. Lexjet.com call and ask for Cody and he'll help you with any printer you need.

Is it possible to make payments?
Perhaps I'll have to get a nice printer on my next tax return.

Actually I think they do offer some sort of financing... I believe they were offering a 6 month no interest finance at year end. There's always your local credit union too.

Oh cool. Yeah I'm so glad I switched to a credit union recently.

Night and day difference. Screw the big banks... they act like we should be grateful for them giving us a place to put our money. My credit union is nuts, they not only know me by name but when I come in, they ask me about the newest piece I just finished (sometimes they even remember the title of it). Nuts!

Fractalvision In reply to JRSlattum [2013-05-26 08:24:41 +0000 UTC]

That is awesome! All of the people at my credit union are so much friendlier than those people at Bank of America, and they aren't thieves so that is appreciated. 30 dollar overdraft fee. What a ripoff.

Earth-Is-Interesting [2011-09-28 22:12:41 +0000 UTC]

The subject here looks like some kind of winged creature to me. I was just imagining it de-rooting itself from the ground, flying away and perching itself on a seaside cliff.

It was pretty cool in my head.

Great color tones.

all your gallery is so interesting. but i love the soft colors and harder tonal relationship of this one. and of course the ideas! absorbing stuff. i can feel myself flying between that space/nest/eye toward the moon.

oh my... in the first version i didn't see the perch on his face, that makes much more sense, of the idea of the birds midrating...

And those trees and the roots, awesome ! it looks like the body has petrified in the ground, and the soul started to fly ^^ I don't know if this is the real meaning, but looks like this for me
