thanks and I couldn't even let the render continue, it had been going for 12 hours and was only 9% because I had subdiv set high and quality to 4  Time for a new graphics card

Oh my!  That's a long render and I feel your pain on that 100%   One of these days I'll get a new machine with a ripping GPU and be on cloud 9. ha  Hang in there Joe
