So is this pro Ayn Rand or anti Ayn Rand? I mean it looks anti Rand but I want to be sure.

That's a shame. It is such a good picture, to bad it's ruin by being propaganda for a borderline cultish pseudo-philosophy.

Individualism is cultish?

Objectivism isn't really about individualism, it is about Ayn Rand's idea about to be how to be an individual which is to be like Ayn Rand. If you want to know more go read the Cult of Ayn Rand. It is a fantastic book about how this crazy Russian woman controlled and manipulated the lives of her followers in a very cult like manner. Also her ideas about capitalism and economics is total horse shit. The best system is a mixed system that balances capitalism and socialism without going to far in one direction.

Also FYI, Ayn Rand was not an economist, sociologist, or a trained philosopher. Instead she claimed her ideas where based on "logical observations" aka she just said things that made sense to her despite having no evidence.

If the book inspired the artist in any way, it doesn´t matter, if the author created a cult or had other psychological problems. Obviously something in her book was inspiring. Maybe there are different ways how to read it?
Crowley is another interesting example. He was definitely crazy, I would not have joined his cult or one of the current O.T.O. / Thelema branches, but still I find his writings inspiring...I don´t have to believe anything, I just observe what a piece of art does with me and my mind or feelings
Great painting by the way!

Except all of Ayn Rand's works were about promoting her ideas. That's why she wrote her books.
