I always thought that'd be cool if they actually did that. The original poster for "Godzilla vs. The Thing" even looked a little like he'd be fighting "THE THING". That would be cool!

Godzilla VS The Thing which was the US title for the 1964 film Mothra VS Godzilla and The Thing is the name of a movie about an alien that basically assimilated life forms as a part of itself and could change into various grotesque forms.
