Amid the galactic tension caused by the "Clone Wars", the Separatist Alliance (an alien group that opposed the human regime of the Republic) ordered the construction of a new "Droid" with infiltration and assassination skills to compete with the newly discovered Commando clones of the Republic.
The result of the factories was the assembly of the "BX series Commando Droids" being an improved version of the classic "B1 Droids", the Commando Droids were squadrons programmed with combat tactics and greater awareness of the battlefield obtaining the rank of captains. and Security Droids for superior prowess and agility in battle.
The Command Droids' weaponry was not cheap to manufacture but guaranteed their investment as efficient assassins, their primary weapon was a modified E-5 blaster rifle (with consecutive shots the weapon overheated but the irritable sensation did not distract the Droid shooter).
The second option was a weapon for stealth and pursuit missions carrying on its back a "Vibrosword" with an edge so lethal that it could pierce or generate a hemorrhagic contusion in any living organism. (Mandalorian pirates and mercenaries preferred this type of buzzing knife for its versatility.)
Lastly, the Commando Droids could mimic the voice of the clones to infiltrate and then detect hidden enemies with their thermal vision. Consequently, due to the high production costs to upgrade the Separatist army by "Commando Droids" it was decided to continue with the economic Infantry of "B1 Droids" due to the feasibility of its production for the war. (For stingy they lost the war 😛)
As a curious fact, the "Commando Droids" that remained on at the end of the Clone Wars ended up as more conscious entities for preserving their artificial memory or reprogrammed as spies for the rebel alliance in the midst of the imperial dictatorship. (Even Darth Vader had his own secret squad of Droids commando 😯)
