I've always wanted to be able to make these 3d abstract things...tutorial perhaps?

I havent made anything like this in years. Here's what I remember, I made the model in Cinema 4d and I finished it in Photoshop. Probably photoshop 7 back then. It looks like most of the detail in the middle was made with the pen tool. It looks like the highlights were just brushing overlay. And I remember that I got that color scheme by inverting my render when I started.
My renders were never too complicated. For something like this, I am certain I just took a sphere and manipulated it, duplicated it, did more and more manipulation, and warped the perspective.

This is nice piece, and very original. It's not much you see a white abstract piece instead of black. And the colours are great.

Not bad, you may want to invest some time into learning mesh smooth techniques tho, as your model is somewhat low poly.

I've some with more polygons, it always says it doesn't have enough memory to render it
