Description
Got another photo of one of my Tau models back from Austin over at Brush 4 Hire, hope everyone enjoys.Edit: There was a little confusion about my description so I am going to clear it up. I work for Brush 4 Hire as a commission painter, this is one of my personal models that Austin photographed for me (a perk of working for the company so to speak). This is indeed my work and I mention Brush 4 Hire here because it helps to drive traffic to the business which in turn helps me pay my bills

Rules wise this variant is completely useless right now. That gun is Str: 8 AP: 1, he is not a good tank buster. That weapon needs armour bane or lance to make it worth while.
That all being said, rules wise, it does look pretty awesome on the model! That is why I modeled him this way, the missile hands looked goofy.

That's what what you need for the game, an army full of models that makes your opponents stop and go "wow".
I'm about to start on a Tau army, and your models have given me some inspiration how to go, plus magnets will be used.

I used to magnetize my Tau (back in the day) but with my recent wave I built them with the weapons I am most likely to use. Previously I ended up having to corral a bunch of weapons that I never used. I had the same thing happen with my Ultramarines. I magnetized my Predators (several years ago) and I've yet to even paint the additional weapons let alone have a desire to use them.
I'm 100% for magnetization, just makes more sense to do with with gear you are likely to use and not 'every option' (unless you want every option of course).
As for wowing the opponent, that is a philosophy I adapted early on with painting, "If I'm going to potentially lose I might as well go down with style."

A cream color, very close to Bleached Bone (whatever the new color is since the Citadel line has changed).

Great work. Just as professional as the models shown by GW themselves!

Wooo, I really like how it looks. I love it. A lot.
The addition of the wire is a REALLY good detail ^^

Thanks, I thought the wire really made the rifle more 'realistic' in terms of have a power source.

I did the paint job, I work for Brush 4 Hire as a commission painter, I just mention it on here because it helps drive business to my employer who also takes photos of my personal models for me.
