Got some photos back from Austin today and I am super excited to show off my Riptide. Put some hours into this guy and I really love how he turned out, he is also a beast on the table top too.Related content

Only ask is hows the base done and any vids for lightening effects yet?

No vids yet and the base is from Dragon Forge Designs (google search will bring the site up, good value). Essentially Jeff (the owner of Dragon Forge) produces resin scenic bases (like the ones on most of my Tau) and you as the painter just paint them and flock them, they look sweet and are super affordable particularly the 25mm standard infantry size bases.

Commander R'Alai's shield was done by hand, Mr Riptide here had his lightning stuff done with an airbrush, world of difference but I like the fact I've done two similar effects in two different ways
