Description
Here's the finished piece I've been working on. A picture of all known Fire Lords as seen through the shows. With the exception of the very first Fire Lord shown in the Avatar comic "Smoke and Shadow" due to being dressed in white and unable to find a proper spot for him within the composition. I do intend to draw him at some point though. I first started working on this back in 2014. The reason for why I wanted to draw this was, first off, because I could not find a single Avatar fanart displaying all the Fire Lord in one image. The second reason, I haven't seen any fanart either Sozin's father or grandfather and thought it would be cool to give these two guys a few proper images. The drawings by the way are based off of portraits hanging in the Fire Nation's Royal Gallery. They are confirmed to be Sozin's father and grandfather by the official Avatar: The Last Airbender -The Art of the Animated Series- book. The third and final reason for why I wished to make this is that I simply just love the Fire Nation and their attires! Especially the Fire Lord's attire. It's been fun, stressing, repetitive, and back to fun again this process, but am glad I'm finally done. The background is a little dull but they're hardly ever my focus. It's just something easy going on the eyes meant to bind everything together but not distract from the main motive. Hope people like it as much as I've enjoy drawing it.
