Description Another singular render of Fire Lord Sozin this time, from the same project that I'm working on with Azulon.

Sozin, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Korra is copyrighted to Nickelodeon, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

If Sozin wanted to "share the Fire Nation's greatness with the world", why didn't he just contact the various kingdoms across the world and offer to build trading posts in exchange for resources?

I honestly think Sozin just wanted to conquer to world, "share the greatness" was just an excuse.

He probably assumed they didn't know what was best for them and the world. Evil people rarely know they're evil. They usually find ways to justify their behavior.

It was sad in the episode "Avatar and the Fire Lord" when Roku told his story to Aang on who Sozin was. That he used to be friends with Roku until he turned vile and corrupted, mad with power and would be the beginning of the terrible war on the world, and for other nations to hate and fear the Fire Nation. Sozin was not the friend he used to be anymore and that's what was sad.

Agreed. He only wanted to share the Fire Nation's greatness with the rest of the world but became misguided. And he would do anything in his power to complete his mission, regardless of whether the other nations were interested in his "greatness" or not.

SO true, and that was the beginning of a terrible war and the disappearance of the Avatar, soon followed by the genocide of the Air Nomads and the Southern Water benders. I might have missed something when I heard Katara say it's nice to meet another water bender since they were wiped out. I'll have to look at the information again because I thought the water benders still lived around in other water tribes far from her and Sokka's home.

When did she say that and to who? Remember she's been for many years the only waterbender living at the south. So she would be pleased to finally meet another waterbender.

I guess it might be something I accidentally missed when watching the show. Sometimes I tend to miss a few details on things and I think "wait, what was that again?" I hate when I do that.
