Confined color is what I see, I guess. You've got the opposite colors in the two centers and, funnily enough, the asymmetry somehow bothers me--it's that turquoise blue on the bottom left half that makes things go a bit funny for my eyes. I love the colors, but somehow, the composition doesn't quite work for me. I see this as kind of like the bottom of two bottles, I guess, and would love to see more of the "tops". Β Anyway, it's made me think and am trying to figure out why this one, despite loving the colors, doesn't work for me the way some of your other works do. hmmm . . . it's as if the left side reminds me of murano glass and the brush strokes on the right side are less distinct, more of a "wash". hmm. Not sure if this is very useful, but am being very honest, Juanilla. Hope that's OK!

Thank you so much Juanilla, I am proud that you consider me a "friend". Indeed, it is what gave me the courage to speak honestly. I think that it is lovely piece of work, so I wanted to take the time to really look and it and determine how and why I reacted to it as I did. Now, it's up to you to accept or discard my point of view. It's called "constructive criticism" and, in the end, if the piece expresses what you want it to do, then it is a success. And it is up to your artistic discretion to create as you feel. But sometimes, whether from a technical point of view, or just an emotional/communicative one, one can learn how and why something works or doesn't. Oftentimes a piece will work in some ways but not in every way, and certainly not for every person. Some people just see the pretty colors but don't understand the composition or what it takes to create a work like this. And, then, of course everyone reacts differently to different works of art. So know that when I comment like this, I have really taken the time to look, to try to see, and to think about how and why, in order to give an honest assessment (in my opinion only of course!)
So here's a big and keep on creating those beautiful works!! Julie

i love the way it swirls like that, like waves of water or air currents do. and all the different colors are really pretty, like chaotic rainbows forced into a particular pattern

I see the same...It seems like coloured water falling down and constrained to rest in boxes...Β
