Description
A resource I wanted for a future character that anyone can use!This is modified ASL with 4 fingers instead of 5, it has the same structure barring a few signs, but there's not a huge difference in how most signs are produced.Β IF anyone needs help clarifying, you can ask me or if you google an ASL alphabet chart you can compare them as well!
This can be used for any four fingered character as well, like arborlings and regular anthros

Wow, I really like this. In a universe like mine with do many different species having a standard that works for different anatomy is definitely a good idea. I think I might borrow this some time.Β

Numbers would be cool to see as well, I'm curious how 4 fingers would sign those. ;v;

I'm working out the numbers as we speak! I was thinking of using a bounce or rocking or other existing mechanic for numbers past 4 however I feel that will be too confusing with actual rocking and double digits. So I may have to either get creative and make it two handed or figure out a different mechanic such as a flip or different handshape

Yeah, me too. I don't know if they'd work? Unless they were either two-handed signs for 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 and others including them, like 66, 600, etc. OR if they rocked like some double-digits or if they bouncedΒ like some double-letters to get to the correct number... not sure, but I'm curious.

bsl has two-handed number signs i believe, may be possible to do it that way :0a

I was thinkin two-handed signs, but bouncing them like double letters sounds interesting... Might be difficult for odd numbers.
