Neo-Anton asked me to create a paw tutorial, so here is my attempt to show you how I approach drawing paws!
A great way to begin is by blocking out your basic shapes, first starting of with the palm of the hand, then blocking out the fingers. You would draw as many blocks depending on how many fingers you want, usually anywhere from 3-5 depending on the art style you're going for. The placement and length of the "finger blocks" would depend on how long or short you want the fingers and toes to be.

For my personal style, I usually just draw a thicker, "softer" version of human hands and feet, and then add pads and claws to them. This is my own personal preference though, and depending on how you want your characters to look you can change this. C:
Also I have a tendency to sketch in a very square style - feel free to round out your fingers and narrow them out as you wish!
