Description
[[WOW i just realized all the typos in this. oh well, i hope it still helps!]]so ever since my Anthro Ear Tutorial, i've been meaning to make more tutorials for you guys. so here's one on how i draw paws. it's much more simple than the Ear one, but i hope it helps!
this is by no means the "correct" or "only" way to draw paws. this is simply how i do it. if you'd like me to do any other specific tutorials, feel free to tell me in a comment on this one!

I have been drawing for 18 years of my 18 year long life now, and my drawing style may be a bitt unuseful...Β
Since i draw stuff without any sketch lines. I simply draw straight forward.
And even though it works for me, I have this feeling that drawing sketch lines first, may help improve my drawing skills.Β
But I have no experience with it, since i don't know how to use sketch lines. or in wich way they should be used.Β Β
*sigh*
What i guess i'm saying is: I want to try a new way of drawing, but the method i already use is hard to get rid of.Β Β
But although, This toturial might come in handy.
Trytix approves!

I think what you're talking about is construction drawing, which I've also seen called Figure Drawing. (The latter when it applies to humans.) It's definitely hard to master, but looking back on my older art to when I started using construction drawing (actually not that long ago), the progress is literally leaps and bounds with every painting. I highly encourage learning it. If you decide to, I'd start by going on Pinterest and searching "Figure Drawing Tutorials", "Construction Drawing", etc.
I hope I helped a little! If not, I hope you didn't mind me rambling on.

Thanks for helping.
I will very surely check those torturials out, although i usualy don't use pinterest. XP
And although it might be a little dificoult going from hard drawing methodes to light drawing methodes, the least i can do is at least to Try.
Thanks alot!

Thanks!
Although, I would say my current skill on organic stuff is kinda okay.
I made this trytix.deviantart.com/art/Omni⦠and i think it's pretty neat looking. ^w^
I made a drawing first, then i just redrew the lines on Adobe Illustrator. So it's about ecsactly how good i am at drawing organics atm. XP

That picture is very good, but I can't identify any structure. Bone mass, muscle mass, and posture is all defined by construction. It's not better or worse with construction, but construction helps you make anatomically secure drawings at breakneck speed.

Trytix In reply to JD-Illustrates [2016-10-27 13:40:28 +0000 UTC]
I see.
Although the legs are suposed to reasamble insect legs. They got the skeleton on the outside. (have i been told) XP
But although, i kinda get what your saying, caus although it looks partialy okay, the anatomical structure is rather terrible (i guess).
But construction drawing isn't quite similar to sketch lines, right?
So, what would you recomend to use?
Sketch lines or construction drawing?
Or perhaps both, if that is a possibility?
Unless they are the same thing, and i just totaly missunderstood. XD

JD-Illustrates In reply to Trytix [2016-10-27 18:09:05 +0000 UTC]
They are the same thing, technically. You do the construction with the sketch.

AlliNix In reply to DeadAngelCat [2013-06-15 04:50:46 +0000 UTC]
oh no, you definitely don't need claws! i just draw them in by default ^.^; whether you draw them just depends on your style/what animal you're drawing.
