I recently returned from Costa Rica where I wandered from rainforest to cloud forest. The wildlife was spectacular and I am currently sorting through my images to share the very best. This toucan will start the show. Pura vida!Related content

I just came back from Costa Rica myself. Didn't get this kind of photo of the Toucans, but I sure wish I did! All of mine are from too far away, more of a memory shot than anything. This is a great opp!

I'm envious of you to be able to check out the rain forests and cloud forests, they're stunning environments that I dream of going next year (and plan to by the end of the year). Toucans have always been among my most favorite of the birds.

Judd, my girlfriend and I were looking at going to Costa Rica, any tips you can pass along to a landscape shooter such as myself?

Costa Rica is a lovely country for landscape photography but I have mostly focused on birds (I've been with a bird guide and two other birders both times). Still, we have come across some beautiful scenery including forests and waterfalls. The Arenal region is beautiful and definitely has some nice waterfalls...and it is really hard to go wrong with any of the national parks. You'll love it!
