Based on an actual conversation I had with someone at SoDak Con this past weekend.Someone came up and complimented my Cubone cosplay, and my sister's Alolan Marowak cosplay. They offered us a piece of candy from a bag they had. We both grabbed a piece, and I replied, in the cutest voice I could,
"This almost makes up for my dead mother."
The person was shocked by what I said, and offered me another piece of candy.
True story.
