Something quick. I've been wanting to do something with a window. It's strange not to add a person in my work but it makes me focus on the environment more. I purposely kept the pane uneven to make things more interesting.

It's open for interpretation, but yes, I did add some human shaped shadows outside the window. Thanks for commenting!

Interesting piece- makes you wonder who the tea set thing belongs to. :P Tis beautiful as well, I love the slight reflection of light on the glass, and the trees outside. The curtain looks very realistic too.

this is the type of work i really love. where the more i look the more i get from it. i like how the window is cornered to add depth to the room and draws my attention outside. you use light so masterfully, with the mist and shadows and also with the silver service and even the polish of the table surface. another amazing job.
on a side note Kat was watching "Pride and Predjudice" today on BBCA so i just had to show her your "In the Shades" and "Letter from Darcy" ...she was much impressed...peace and love

Thank you, Truly! To tell you the truth, I was a little hesitant in posting this because it is a bit different from what I'd normally would do. But I wanted to create something without having a person as a subject for once.
The BBC version of "Pride and Prejudice"? She saw the best one. I'm glad she's impressed!

i see no reason to be hesitant about it , its an excellent piece , but i can understand about being unsure when trying something different... i think adding a figure could be be a distraction here, lol i guess you did too... i don't understand why its classed as horror though... unless i missed something in the mist.. i didn't get a creepy feeling from it but then i really love misty foggy days...peace and love

Actually, I had an idea of a murder scene with some blood splattered on the window close to the curtain. But I got rid of that because I wanted to do something vague. And now if you look closer, there are 2 things floating in the window (they aren't leaves, lol). And a large shadow close to the curtain. So you're left wondering (or you were suppose to

well i keep thinking i see all kinds of things out there in the fog but not sure of any...was pretty certain i could see something , someone maybe on the dock but when i switch magnification it changes..so if the ideal was to mess around with someones head a bit you succeeded ...well as far as my head goes at least, lol... this would make a really cool book cover... peace
