Hm yeah, that's an interesting way of doing things. Now I can make it look like I used Copic markers when I didn't (because man, those things cost an arm and a leg)! Yay for crookedness! But seriously, this was helpful. Thanks for sharing!

This method can keep the traditional artwork's originality indeed. And yes, if you use greyscale marker set this tutorial can help you to colorize it. I use this method to finish my ink wash artworks but it works with markers of course. (If you want to buy good quality markers (which are refillable too) buy Spectrum Noir sets (cheap and it's as good as the Copics). And I think this is a very useful tutorial because as I can see a lot of colorists use one method to colorize the comic pages and everything will be the same. Shiny and mainstream look. And this is not a good thing because if an artist (like me) paints ink wash artworks (which the publishers can really appreciate), has to realize that the colorists don't really care about the basic stuff... and they usually ruin the original artwork's quality and the look of the final product will be boring and a typical mainstream-ish. And this is not a good thing.

Oh yeah I'll definitely have to check out those Spectrum Noir markers. Thanks for the tip!

Wow. Nice job.  I like the way you've considered both the main and fill lights in both the shading/colors and shadows!  Love that attention to detail.

yes, I believe so. I guess this is the best way to colorize digitally the ink wash, or black and white pencil artworks.
