Yes: I'm deriving some words from my previous conlang Rinap, mentioned in the paper, while the grammar is under inspection and reconsideration.
No, I just invented the graphemes so any resemblance to real signs is accidental... Yet the graphemes later turned out to remind Latin alphabet so much that I was able to use that in my lore.
