Description
I turned my invented handwriting into a gothic script. I'm working on a new language, but I don't know whether this is suitable for it.Related content

Thanks! I'm glad you like them! It was one of the main ideas with the script...

Now that's how you do an ornamental script. :] Let's see some samples, hey?

Yup. It became quite decorative due to this map: [link]
Here you can see the writing in its original, handwritten form: [link]
I'm constructing a new language for my fantasy world and I thought I could use this script for it. At the moment, I'm not sure whether they'll match or do I have to invent another language...
One funny thing: Recently, I realized that I could quite well derive Latin alphabet from these randomly invented letters. That's good news to my fantasy world which also uses English!

That's definitely a good thing to have, especially with such a complicated alphabet. I could very much believe your Jauhmoe script being a prestige form used by aristocrats and priests alongside a peasant script closer to Latin. It might be a bit harder to pass off as something that merchants would use everyday, though, simply because of the amount of detail required for each letter.

That's what I was thinking too for this medievalish world.

Complexity was probably the word of the day when designing that...

I have a script I want to realise, my issue is I am inept at making good graphemes ;^;

Oh, that's pity. You could try doodling some lines which start to live their own life or draw geometrical shapes over each other and randomly pick a letter from it... Not sure whether these work, since my peculiar mind happens to invent all kinds of things by itself.

Well, some of my works don't satisfy my inner perfectionist. One example concerns my languages in which the words tend to become too short and sentences abrupt. (Perhaps, it's because in Finnish, my mother tongue, words are pronounced as written.) I only hope that my latest construction with conjugation shall fix some of this.

Yeah I know the feeling ;^;
I am better at designing a conlang than graphemes.
