Description
Part 25: Favourite Poison Type
Dedicated to Adam West the Crobat from my Alpha Sapphire playthrough (Rest In Peace to the man himself). I remembered liking the species since watching that episode from the anime where Brock's Golbat evolved and impressed me with its speed (No joke, I saw his Crobat chasing and slicing Team Rocket's... rocket. And I was like wow... amazing... I want one). So, I bred a Zubat in my playthrough despite their reputation as "goddamned bats". When he evolved, it was really satisfying, it felt different from normal evolutions, as though the game rewarded me for treating him well. I think he had Cross Poison, Brave Bird, U-Turn and Toxic.
So, about the illustration. Because we have a bat here, I was inspired by the gothic scenes from Kamen Rider Kiva, more specifically the scenes featuring Dark Kiva's finishing moves with the blood red sky, moon and fog. There was also the yellow glow and "shadow" on the moon present in both Kivas. (So no... I did not mess up the placement of the "shadow") The red stars were a foreign touch though, don't think it was present anywhere with the riders.
