I think I archived them since they are super old. I'm thinking of remaking these pieces in the future.

there is. it's a huge pyramid actually. it was done by another 3D artist who worked together with me when this artwork was used for a video game under development years ago.

Great work! The building has anΒ interesting architecture. The sizes of both the building and gate (if it is)Β also make the building interesting, exciting and special.Β The gate is loveable;Β its size andΒ design. Well done.

Very striking image. One has to wonder, what's behind? Concept and impact is great, as is the detail and use of color.

The desert around the lock really gives the feel of something really dead being out here, and the sheer size of the door leading to the Timeless One really gives the feel that something big is behind here. Even if the Precursors themselves weren't physically imposing, what does a big door anywhere tell you? These guys are bigshots, and they want the world to know it.

I like the design that you gave the ancient Humans in their technology like the tents, the lights, and their crates. The design route that you took here says that, sure, these guys had starships, advanced technology and a 100,000 year gap, but they are recognizably Human in their technology and their customs. That's a big plus with me.

I actually wasn't expecting a desert as the location of the Timeless One's resting place. I expected an Arena that was similar to the description given in the book. However, this could simply be the entrance to such a location. I pictured some sort of highly build up viewing area with spires all over the place. Kind of like a space-age Colosseum. Again, perhaps that's inside.

One thing I've noticed in the design of the Precursor structure is that the glyphs themselves have a very Forerunner-esque look to the designs. That's not too out there since in written form I've given the impression that some Precursor tech and buildings are similar to those of the Forerunners as well, but in visual form, I see you've taken the extra leap and have shown it to be visually similar to that of the Forerunners.

The only complaint, the ONLY complaint I can find to say about this is that for all of the details. For all of the insane levels of attention that you've put into this - the lights that the Humans are using do not seem to cast very much illumination on the other people or the sand at the foot of the giganto-door. That's the only thing I really have to say. The tents' similarities can be easily looked past since they might be a standard design. Otherwise, wonderful picture and an excellent effort. To give you a fave does not simply seem like enough to me. If a piece alone were enough to warrant a watch, I believe this would be one of those pictures. Wonderful work.

This place reminds me a lot of Halo 3's Sand Trap and Sand Box. So this detail isn't Forerunner? It's Precursor?

Love the work BTW.

Just wanted to tell you I've spent the past hour searching for this on Deviantart--I remembered putting it under my favorites before I deactivated my other account, and this work stuck with me for so long that I had to do the same for my new account as well. I love the painting; it's terrific, but what really impacted me the most was its concept, as well as the exposition attached.
If you actually turn this idea into a story for the public to read, I would be at your book signing.

Awesome imagination you've got there, and great piece.

This is a very visually pleasing piece. There is a deep sense of texture the the structure itself and the scale is impressive. The intricacy of the carvings themselves are very lovely and detailed enough to be admired yet worn enough to feel old.

Simply a beautiful piece.

Incredible. The only word I could describe it with, and your summary really promotes the mystery.
I do disagree however, about going into Precursors first when we know little to nothing about Forerunners. Once we know about the Forerunners...well I think we know what happens after that.
