Holy crap this picture is legend. The carvings on the structure are ridiculously intricate and well done. The shading and colouring is incredible too. This piece totally deserves a DD. And I agree, the Forerunners are overrated.

great work... only thing is, with a new race, comes a new war,... where is the master chief, we will need him... and what ever level of spartan program we are up to... lol
So who are the Precursors? did you just make them up? i have played most of the games and never heard of these guys.

the precursors... although not really mentioned (except being slight implied in the Halo 3 terminals) in the games but mostly implied in the novel. is an older race that came before the forerunners and possibly the once who nurtured the forerunners. they were an extremely advanced race even more advanced than the forerunners themselves.
