I really like that.
First it reminded me the movies "Oblivion" and "The Maze Runner" - but those are rather pessimistic movies. However second and more detailed look made me to change my impression.
I really like the nice contrast of the warm and soothing light of that hovering object so it is closer to the God-like AIs in the books by Neal Asher (for example "Prador Moon" etc.) - which act as "wise dictators" for the mankind, preventing wars and corruption where possible. So, definitely positive impression.

After a long journey and arduous through the ruins, the adventurer finally reaches his first goal. The Oracle, assembled/created/born from the sciences of an ancient and long-gone civilisation, was said to know almost everything that could be known. It would be able to answer the question that no other scholar had managed, and his true quest could begin in earnest.
His last few hours, since descending into the underground complex where it dwelt, had been spent chasing flickers of light on the reflective surfaces of ancient devices and thinking-machines. These machines could no more be called computers than a human could be called a bacterium: their unimaginably-distant ancestors had been computers in the sense that humans understand the world, but they were something vastly more advanced.
Finally, he came to a large empty space; a clearing, perhaps in the forest of towering not-computers. Suddenly, the light was moving towards him rather than away. As it approached, he realised that it was much larger than he had thought when he had seen it from a distance. With jarring suddenness a huge luminescent shape has hovering over him, rotating one glowing face towards him. He felt as though someone was making eye contact with him, almost staring into his eyes, when the thing spoke with a monotone voice so loud and deep he felt it in his bones.
"WHAT. IS. YOUR. QUESTION?"
