You're not entirely happy?
It looks awesome.
Great pose, detail, and color, as well as the awesome shadow that mirrors Samus.
Nice. The only thing that I see that looks odd is the gray part of the helmet that covers her mouth.
But it's not a big deal, just something that looked odd to me.
Nicely done.

ah you know sometimes you do some drawings that you're not entirely happy with, its all part of the growing process. its good to have an eye for the drawings that constitute good and bad, specially if you can critique you're own work...

That is a rare thing.
Artists tend to view their work very critically.

you have to if you want to improve even in the slightest, personally i can be happy with some of the stuff i do and even look back at thinking its the best ive done but i dont get caught up in it coz theres always so much more to learn!!

geometrical armour is always a pain coz the lines dont flow as much, so considering that its an awesome effort i gotta start on my Modern Warfare 2 projects!!

it doesnt having anuything to do with the flow of the lines, its visualising what the armor looks like from different angles. its almost a completely different mindset, even the way light hits the surface and reflects is completely different to illustrating flesh or clothing!!

i meant, i prefer flowing lines coz they are easier to create than straight or jaggered armour, it just seems easier to represent on paper. but when it comes to colouring i agree totally with what you are saying cuz.

the concept of flowing lines is infinite, drawing armor or anything mechanical requires a good flow of line art aswell, not just drawing anything organic. when its comes to the flow of a picture, a lot is encompassed in that notion or idea; u have teh structure of the actual picture itself, balance, composition, weight, style, medium etc,. gaining a good knowledge about "flow" only comes with experience, think of it like a martial art. an experienced martial artist will let his/her energy flow through each movement they create be it in practicing or in combat. if u want to practice acquiring such energy u need to loosen your wrist up and create whatever desired shape in a swish flick of the wrist. by the time u develop those skills u will hopefully have a greater understanding of anatomy, balance and composition.
