YOU DID IT! Awesome, pure epicness, and now I shall make you reveal the secrets behind the technique, how does one make it look so accidentaly-intentional? You know, how all the strokes look coincidental but they just work? If you say magic, I'll find you and haunt you.

Sorry for the late reply! I still have a lot to learn but I find the more you paint with the brush the more you understand how to use it. For example, I made a brush weeks ago specifically for detailing the scales on my 3D dragon. While I was painting this, I thought I might try using that brush again on the sword to give that firey glowy effect.
You also have to be careful about where you place strokes...you dont want hard edges everywhere and you really have to balance the hard and the soft. Again I have so much to learn in this area so I really appreciate your comment

Pfffft as if you have to apologize, art first socializing later. Wait, with that last dragon in your gallery?! Can I hog your attention and ask about 3D too? If not, just, you know, ignore
Okay, I think I understand what you're saying, know your tools and careful with hard-soft contrast. Seems simple enough if one only remembers it during painting.. it's so weird because what you say makes so much sense right now but next time I'll open photoshop OOOH LOOKIE, standard soft brush all the way.
Hey, umm.. no, thank you. For sharing and all

Well technically I was on vacation so it was actually socializing first hahaha
Feel free to ask whatever you'd like about 3d!
