Very forlorn looking. Good job. (Those bench shots are great, aren't they? Haha) I really like the cropping with the bench offcenter. Good call.

Great composition.. the white branches are a bit distracting, though. But I loves the overall look to it.

Restful. It reminds me of those memorial benches... The contrast between the bark and the soft background makes the scene quite dreamlike, and I could imagine this image having a very personal and powerful meaning to someone.

There's something very peaceful and gentle about this photo. You've really managed to create a mood and atmosphere that makes if feel as if the person looking at the photo is part of it. I can just picture myself there, reflecting on my day, on the past week, the past month or my life in general. It's almost as it there is a slight sense of nostalgia here (probably created by the fact that it's in black and white) that adds another dimension of beauty to the image. Lovely!

Very dreamlike Again this seems to not have anywhere to focus on - the negative space in the background draws you in as opposed to the bench, and the bench doesn't seem very in focus. Great job on the tones and lighting though

Thanks for your critique . I can definately see what you are saying with the negative space drawing in the viewer and once again the probs with focus. When I was out shooting this photo, I wanted the bench and tree to be the main subject but I also wanted the background to also be an important part of the image. I really liked how the white part of the tree contrasted with the darkness of the foliage, whereas, the darkness of the tree contrasted with the lightness of the grass. Anywho, do you think that I tighter crop will fix this problem? Cheers

This is amazing, I love it! It has sort of a dreamy effect to it...and the composition is great!
The only crit I could give you is perhaps use a smaller border. Having too much border can take the focus off of the pic. Useing a black border though would further increase the contrast quality in the picture
Great job!

I really like this shot, and the hazy ghostly feeling that it has. I like the off centered composition, but I think It would be even better with a tiny bit chopped off the right. As it is now the negative space is a little overpowering, and distracting. Nice work overall

nice smoky feel, like something mysterious is going on perhaps you could've faded some parts away and focused on the bench/tree
