The thought that the Thor was originally going to be so large and powerful it'd have to be built by an SCV is incredible. However, I think it's safe to say the Thor is better off as it is - an assault mech built in a Factory. I hope one day someone may mimic that concept. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I hope someone "rips-off" the old concepts of the Thor. Rather, I hope someone sees how they could perfect that scrapped concept. After all, imitation in such a manner would be better seen as a form of flattery, no?

This is fantastic! I wish I could see more art of this caliber in games like BattleTech!
Yes, I agree you are really getting somewhere with the colors you've chosen. I love the shine you've colored into those two spots on the knee joint. Those are really well shaded. (And also what I assume is the upside-down T cockpit?)
Just curious, what other series, games, shows do you watch to give yourself ideas for how to create convincing mech parts? Sometimes I generate some decent designs but I feel like I generally run dry and do the same thing over again with different machines.

Great job with the artwork and colouring. Thors die quickly when attacked by large numbers because it can only kill 1 at a time with their attacks since only the Odin was given a ground attack with splash damage. Tip: switch a Thor's target between ground and air to get past it's long reloads as its air and ground weapons reload on separate timers.

there is one thing i wonder about that pic ... isnΒ΄t that actualy the odin? i mean if i remeber right the thors had differend rocketlaunchers then those 6 cannons on the thorso

Actually, if I remember, the Odin was the first Thor design...they just added that antenna to differentiate it from the current variant.

YOu'd pf thought that much weaponry would be excessive...then you remember theres no such thing as excessive..only making sure what you shoot stays shot
