Sunpress always wanted to be a reporter. Fortunately, his talent turned out to be writing news articles. Unfortunately, he has an extreme fear of criticism. He's plenty confident in his work, he's just not confident that others will receive it well. Because of this, he goes by the pen name of 'Orange Journalist". However, he isn't just afriad of criticism towards himself. Every time a negative comment or observation about another pony pops in his head, he immediately gets on himself about it, saying he shouldn't be thinking like that. The truth is, he wants more than anything to live up to the persona of 'good natured reporter who gets along with everypony'. In reality, he's a nice pony, but more of the no-nonsense, get-the-job-done-well type who always finds a way to meet the deadline. This sometimes makes it hard to get along with his free-spirited partner Juneberry Mist, with her legends and bizarre fantasies. He feels it's up to him to bring her back to earth; and she feels it's her job to get him to lighten up a little every now and then. Still, he considers her to be a close friend and trusted partner...even if she gets distracted fairly easily.
