Since the Dinosaurs can breed in the wild, are the parents going to have any parental instincts (maybe even some nest building, like the raptors in JP the novel)?

In the future, we do plan on this.

They should eat any type of meat, or any food that a wolf can eat.

I believe they will come as Achillobator.

Aren't these ones achilobators as well?

I think that you could change the posture of the female to be more upright. In the movie it was more upright. The male can be left as is.

While this is a good model, I don't understand why they stopped using the 'higher quality' models from the blueprints. Apart from the feet (there was a higher quality velociraptor model with feet like the ones above) there are hardly any differences, and yet they looked so much better. The head of the velociraptor was the only bit different, and it had like 4 extra blocks compared to the one above. Just the sloping nose made it look so much more like the JP velociraptor. So why were they changed? With such small differences it couldn't have been harder to animate or anything.

It kind of stops being minecraft if the models are too complex, I think the JC team once said that and I agree with them, these models are excellent the way they are. And the mod isn't just about velociraptor, it would be very hard for "weak" computers to bear with if all the models were like that, and yes, every bit of complexity affects the "weight" of the creature.

Jeffins5 In reply to XxSageOf6PathsxX [2016-10-03 23:50:07 +0000 UTC]
The other model isn't exactly made in cryengine. It still clearly looks like minecraft. A few extra blocks isn't going to affect performance to any significant degree.

for me it affects XD. my computer must be the worst "toaster" ever, there is a lot of difference form the older versions' to the 2.0 models

JurassiCraftMod In reply to Jeffins5 [2016-10-03 06:01:30 +0000 UTC]
A lot of effort from a modeler goes into a model. Making the very detailed models is hard, and tedious to make some of those details for the modelers. We lost 3 of our modelers to the more complex style.
π: 0 β©: 1
Jeffins5 In reply to JurassiCraftMod [2016-10-03 16:37:21 +0000 UTC]
But the only difference was in the head, and it was literally 2 or 3 extra blocks. It couldn't have taken an experienced tabula user more than 15 minutes to add those extra bits, not to mention you already had the completed model because you showed it in a blueprint.

Codyrex78117 In reply to Jeffins5 [2016-10-03 18:15:42 +0000 UTC]
Only two, or three modelers were able to make models in the high detailed style. 3 modelers left the mod because of that style. It would have been too much work for 2 modelers to do all the models in the high detailed style. We made a choice. We decided to go back to a simpler style. Now, models and textures take less time. We couldn't let the Velociraptor as how it was before because it wouldn't look like the other models.

I think theΒ VelociraptorΒ model is subtle enough that it could be used.
