ok, so continuing with the SpideyHulk, this is pages 2 and 3. I got really into it at this point and I wanted to go all out. I've been struggling as of late with the fact that I can't land a gig and I think that my frustration came out on this page. I'll tell you though, it's good to have fam who are in the same boat. Me and Chris have been talking about the industry a lot lately, and we both feel like we've been going about it the wrong way. We're supposed to add to the industry, not re-hash the same ol nonsense. I know that this is 2 of the most famous characters in the world, but I just want to do what I do with them, if I get a job or not.... feels good to draw without pressure!enjoy;}

Hulk's neck seems just a touch off, but I love your take on Spidey and the background is perfect. A very strong piece over all!

ummm, no. Your backgrounds add soo much to the picture and I'm trying to incorporate as much of the detail you put into your pages into mine. i study your backgrounds. Not to take the image, but to see how far you go to show window panes, etc.

You know, cats always ask me that. Yeah, I do have a couple of personal projects that I'd love to do, and will get around to one day. They are my treasures, however, and I don't want to start them when I need to draw comics to feed my family. It's just too much stress to do a good job. Plus, I love the established characters! These guys have saved my life (...well, not literally) If not for comics (and the saving grace of Christ), I'd have been swallowed up in the streets. Yep, me and Chris will be in NY. I'll most likely be at the TopCow booth, or messin about Keron or Sanford Greene. Come on by...

True well I can agree that comics gave me a love for art even though back when I was younger Fine artists didn't consider it art. Which is stupid on there part. Comics and cartoons sparked the talent fire in me to draw, that and my mom used to draw back then as well just more realistic though. Lol. Well I will definitely look for you two where you said and hang with you guys. Your bro said he was gonna drop some knowledge on me. Well stay up and peace man. See you in april!

Yeah, I hit at least 5 cons a year, and the after parties. I have a lot of contacts in the industry, but it's a matter of timing. When I run into someone with work, I'm usually working or waiting for a project to get the greenlight. Then, the project gets canned, and the person with the first job has filled the slot. Bunch of stuff like that happens all the time.

Think you could do the John Romita Jr. thing and work on multiple projects? Have you done it before? If not have you tried? You may be able to knock these projects out and not lose out.

No. That man is made of something else:} He spends about 3 to 4 hours on a page. I spend too much time getting reference, and watching movies for angles, and all that crap. I don't really draw til about 11 at night, and I rarely make it to 4am anymore. I wake up with my son and my wife, and I do so much during the day, I don't know when i'd have the time!

na I feel that, i have a hard time really grinding til it gets dark outside, and then I use a lot of reference as well so I know how you feel. Since you're working on a 7/8 hour a page rate right now, how bout trying to do pencils that aren't as tight and trying to cut it down a few hours? You know these editors hate dealing with the slow guys, and that'll give you one up on a lot of people, especially since you've been published and they know you.

The problem is, I'm kind of in between situations. Just flew down to Florida yesterday and I'll be down here for a while, living with friends until we get our own place, so I feel uprooted and unsettled. Can't focus, can't think. Gotta get over this jet lag sensation.
Hopefully I'll feel settled enough to be able to just enjoy myself for a bit.
But I need to finish Cage first!

Yeah, I kn ow the feeling. I've been up rooted, moved, evicted, and homeless at one time or another. Heck, I've gotten so used to it by now that I can draw pretty much anywhere. It's a good habit to learn...you never know what can happen. Take your time though. Try to enjoy yourself:} I love your artwork, and I can't wait to see more...

I remember drawing at a friend's rock concert once... Turned out fairly well. At the time.
Tried to get some work done while on my four-hour layover in Philly. My hour-and-a-half battery life didn't feel like cooperating.

O.o looks amazing O.O like really amazing o.O those buildings and the perspective is amazing, the detial and poses of spidey and the hulk is jaw dropping. my only critique is I think you should make the lines showing where hulk's pants end on his ankles bolder, I had a little trouble figuring out where they end. besides that looks AWESOME!!
